Aveiro is a picturesque town on canals an hour south of Porto. We planned to spend a couple of ours exploring it, but it started raining soon after we had arrived so we cut our visit short.
The main tourist attraction in town are the gondola boat rides, which are seemingly easy to join. Another possible attraction on the waterfront that we only looked at from the outside is the Museum of Art Nouveau, as well as the Museum of Aveiro.
