The third tri-annual Scotch-centric buddy trip – actually, #4 for me, counting a much earlier and much shorter foray when I lived in the UK – has been a resounding success. The itinerary was more ambitious than usual, taking us to farther outposts than we have been before. 1,300 miles driven, 20 distilleries visited, a number of new favorites, with endless visual highlights encountered along the way.
There was also a new World Heritage site visit on the itinerary as well. Plus a few museums that I went to while in Edinburgh. A reasonable cultural program intertwined with prodigious whisky tasting.
As always, there will be recaps and photographic evidence presented over the course of multiple installments in the near future.
