My new segments

Oh god, I haven’t written in ages! Oopsy-daisy. Not a lot has really been happening but I have some funky things that have happen-afied…

Randomly, a few weeks ago, my mum said ‘Hey, Eltham College is really close to your school. Why don’t you have a dance with them?’ I thought this was a rather swell idea. I went to our class school councilor and told her to bring it up at a meeting. Next thing I know, we get an assembly telling us to buy the tickets and bring loads of friends! And the dance is only gonna be for us Year 9’s. No other years! WHOOO! And all ’cause of me and my lovely mummy. We are just too brilliant.

I have discovered that I have a talent for self-portraits from mirrors! Whodathunkit? In art, we’re doing a huge project on identity. Last lesson, we put pieces of acetate (plastic) on mirrors and drew right onto them. You had to close one eye to make it in proportion and I found myself very thankful for having a fringe (bangs). While most people had pictures of them with one squinty eye, mine looked normal ’cause the eye I was closing was covered by my fringe! Anyway, these turned out quite good. Then, we had to continue making a normal self-portrait form a mirror. My first attempt, done the lesson before, was disastrous. This lesson, something had changed apparently! You can actually recognise me! I was in shock as my type of art is generally graffiti, not portraits. I may post my drawing on here.

In English, we are making magazines! And my groups is the best ever ’cause we have a cool name. Our mag is called Green Peas. Geddit? Like Greenpeace? It’s kinda like the National Geographic for Kids and is targeted for kids 7-12. It was meant to be 14 but we changed it because I’m apparently the only 14-year-old who, erm, still reads *cough* National Geographic for Kids. =) Well I love it and am not planning to grow out of it for a few more years! *shifty eyes*. The best part of our magazine is an interview with my favourite teacher Mr. Dee! His name’s really Mr Denton but this ways cooler. We ask him the most random questions and it’s really funny. You can tell he was very flattered that we wanted to interview him. Awww. He’s on our front cover. The reasons for this are:
1) It’s a laugh.
2) It’ll bring in all the girls (hahahaha).
3) We’ve got no better ideas.
I’m sure Mr. Denton won’t mind…

On a completely different note, I’m adding 2 new ’segments’ that will appear quite frequently in my blog. One, is lovely youtube videos that I love. Two, is my hedgehog collection. Yes, I collect hedgehogs. Well, I wanted to do something different and I think it’s absolutely spiffing! I’ll put up one hedgehog at a time with their name, place of origin and a bit of info. Eventually, I’ll get through all of them…I hope.

Well cheerio then! I’ll be sure to put up my new segments soon! *runs off to find a Mars Mar to munch*

Aren’t I the Social Butterfly?

This weekend has been just a show of how busy I actually am.

First, on Friday after school, I went to Blackheath Village to Montepeliers with about 3 of my mates. Quick explanation: Blackheath Village is right next to my school and I hang out there every Friday at ‘Montepelios’ cafe with random mates, usually 3-6 of them. After having our milkshakes and cakes, we went to sit on the heath and met up with some guys we knew. The ‘get together’ lasted for a good 4 hours after which I got invited to a Sleepover at my mate Anna’s house. She lives in a huge flat of about 8 rooms with an indoor pool, sauna and restaurant. We mostly listened to music and talked about random girly things. We went to bed at a reasonable hour, for a sleepover at least. It was only12:30am. At around 12:40, my other friend Amy,  who went to the heath but couldn’t make the sleepover, called. When we told her we had gone to bed we got severely insulted and hung up.

The next day I went home and watched Minutemen with my sister which is one of my favourite disney channel movies. Then I watched the EMA’s which I’d recorded a few weeks earlier. It was brilliant but Katy Perry is a bad host and sounds wonderful in songs but not live. Sorry Katy! At around 7:40pm my friend Emily called to invite me to see Ghost Town in the cinemas. She also invited me to stay over but I must’ve gotten slight amnesia because I forgot to ask my parents and told her no. After getting to Bluewater Mall, we ate some things at the food court and a hid prawn crackers in my bag so I could eat them in the cinema. Hehe, I’m a baaaad girl. We watched Ghost Town, which is good but has a boring ending. I wouldn’t recommend it. After the film, we waited 20 mins while her mum and mum’s boyfriend finished watching Quantum of Solace. Then I got this great thought. I decided to ask my mother again to see if I could sleepover. (Remember, I’d had amnesia and thought I’d asked her and she’d said no.) She agreed over the phone and I was qite surprised at her ‘change’ of mind but very happy.

At Lemon’s (I call Emily, Lemon) we did excactly what we’d done at Anna’s except we also did some Little Mermaid quiz and looked at fan art of Twilight and Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet. The Twilight drawings are gorgeous! The girl should be famous, they are so good! Anyway, we went to bed at 1:00am which is really early again! Then my mum called me at 10:10am to wake me up! Strange? Yes. Pleasant? No.

I love being busy all the time, but I don’t think my parents like me out of the house so much for some reason… ANYWAY! I’m looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight!

Back from Iceland

Whatever| 5 Comments »

I’m am back from the land of the ice and have something to say. You know how everyone says that Greenland is the one with ice and Iceland is the nice one? Yea, that’s not true. It’s freezing and has ice in abundance. The Greenland myth is a lie! Hehe, I must’ve had a lot of sugar today…

I’ll now tell you the important bits about my trip. It wasn’t an early flight there which was very nice, it actually was changed at some point and became even later. After being given 10 pounds to get dinner (our flight was late enough that we would miss the hotel dinner) we all boarded the plane. I was the only one who hadn’t brought my iPod. Well, it did say NOT to but everyone did anyway. And the teachers didn’t even care! (We were given a lot of freedom on this trip but I’ll get back to that later.) The flight was still really fun because we managed to harass some boys and ended up becoming good friends with them and getting their IMs. Good times, good times.

We got to our hotel around midnight but I didn’t actually go to bed till 4am-ish. The rooms were tiny with two people a room. After having our doorbell ding-dong ditched (it’s when people knock on your door, then run away), my roommate, Orla, and I decided to sleep across the hall with our fellow Year 9’s, Tara and Anna. This was, of course, after thinking that they were the ones who knocked and knocking on their door and running. Turns out, we were both pranked upon. Anyway, in that titchy room, the 4 of us stayed up until 4 just talking. Anna and I shared one bed, Tara and Orla shared another. In the morning, when me and Orla went back to our room, our teacher did not even bat an eye. She just asked if we slept well. Freaky.

That day we went to see geysers (I got a video of one exploding) and more Iceland-y things. In the evening we went to the Blue Lagoon. It’s a huge hot spring heated lagoon that is lovely but monstrous for the hair. There’s silica in the water which is a type of mud that we also put on our faces. Your meant to put conditioner in your hair before you go in and we did. It did not help. If you go, either wear a cap or bring your own conditioner and empty it on your head and carry it around with you in the lagoon. TRUST ME. My hair felt horrible when it dried. I took a shower with shampoo (Orla’s, as I forgot to bring some) and it still felt absolutely horrid. It’s okay now ’cause I’ve washed it at home with conditioner.

That night I made some new friends from Newcastle. All of them were boys. We became good friends but what was funny was how our headteacher reacted to us sitting in the lobby with *gasps* boys! She told us ‘Girls, be in your rooms by 10 please’. (This was around 9.40). One of the boys said something like ‘Don’t worry Ms. Laws. We’ll make sure they leave at 10.’ And Ms. Laws was like ‘You lie boy.’ Then to us ‘Girls, be careful with boys who lie.’ Then she just walked off. We were cracking up so much that me and a few other girls fell off the couches. Teachers make me laugh! A couple of my friends and I now have a new catchphrase because the boys wanted to teach us some Newcastle lingo. They taught us how to say ‘I want a drink’. It’s ‘Swig of this’ pronounced SWIG-O-THIS!

The beaches in Iceland have black sand and are very beautiful. I’m ashamed to say that our teachers had to force us out of the minibus in order to see the main beach. We were tired at the time but very glad afterwards because it’s just indescribable. There was snow all around and I made the head of a snowman called Fillbert. He resembles my father quite a bit. Then I made a video on how to make a snowman and then everyone wrote their names in the sand and took pictures. I also wrote Kimmy’s name, just to make her feel like a bit of her as in Iceland. I also had to write SWIG-O-THIS and I did.

The last night before departure, we went ice-skating. I was quite excited to show off my prowess even though I was to wear rented skates. Yea. It was absotively horrid. For one thing, I did wear long socks and now have huge blisters on the front of both of my thighs. (I had decided, cleverly, to wear jeans and I couldn’t bend my knees in long socks.) For another, we had to wear helmets! UGH! For ANOTHER, the skates were so blunt. I managed to do my 2 signature moves: the spread-eagle and the shoot-the-duck. (If anyone wants an explanation to what those are, leave comments asking.) But I couldn’t do spins and I only was able to jump once. The other times I nearly fell, or did fall. People kept showering me in compliments which I would not except. It turns out, many people actually thought I was good. Whodathunkit?

Other things we did were petting wild ponies, going to a wool factory, a greenhouse, a geothermal power station and many waterfalls glaciers and mountains. I loved Iceland but every waterfall and mountain looks the same after a while, sadly. The important thing is to go with the right people and then you’ll have a blast. I would not have changed the group that came with us for anything. A small note: We stayed for 3 full days in Iceland. That is quite enough time to see everything needed, trust me.

I leave you with a picture of Fillbert the Snowman (who looks like my dad)

I made him on the beach

My recording-ness!

Whatever| 3 Comments »

Sorry for not writing ’bout this earlier. I’m just too lazy, really. Being brutally honestly here: my laziness is shocking.

On Wednesday morning, I went through about 5 outfit changes before going off to pick my mates up. This is after considering that I’d already picked out an outfit the night before after trying on a numerous number of choices. Well, I picked up Ella then Eliza and off we went. The car ride went by rather quickly, possibly because we spent all of it listening to my new ipod and engaging in lots of girly chitchat-ness. We circled our destination for another 20 minutes because we couldn’t find the entrance. When we found it, we discovered that the recording studio was on a farm.

So this is basically what happened.
I started off with the song ‘Viva la Vida’ by ‘Coldplay’ which I sang through 3 times in a row. Then the guy who was doing the recording cut the nice parts from each version and stuck them together. He looked 23 tops. And had a cool shirt. ANYWAY! Then I tried out ‘Zombie’ by ‘The Cranberries’ but the playback sounded bad so we scratched that song. I did ‘Sweet About Me’ by ‘Gabriella Cilmi’ 3 times instead and it sounded awesome! It sounds the best out of all the songs in my opinion.

I then tried to sing ‘Love Song’ by ‘Sara Bareilles’ and that sounded really weak so we decided to switch to ‘Everything’ by ‘Michael Buble’. (The last ‘e’ in his surname has an accent but I can’t be bothered to find it. Remember: I’m lazy!) This sounded quite good but we had some problems with it. The first bit is too low so I sang it an octave higher which was fine. But the second bit I had too sing in the normal key mixed with the high key. The chorus caused the most problems. After trying to sing it in the low key, and finding it impossible, I sang the second two times with the high key. I managed to do it and apparently, I can hit really high notes. You may have to cover your ears when my dad puts the vid up. You may also hear some random laughs because Eliza and Ella were dancing very *cough* stupidly in an attempt to loosen me up.

After the recording, my mother took all of us to Blackheath village where we ate at a Mexican place and took some funny videos with Eliza’s wicked camera. By the way, if you search ‘Becky Burlak’ on google, you’ll get a link to the giftdaze website that does the recordings. My picture will be in the corner with a comment by moi! Thanks so much Grandma and Grandpa for giving me this gift! Mwahh!

Birthday celebrations so far

Whatever| No Comments »

I am now 14 and have been a teenager for a whole year! Here’s how it’s been so far:

On Friday I came in to school dressed in jean shorts, blue and black striped thigh-high socks and my top that shows Sienna. I also wore fingerless gloves with spiderwebs on them. Very Halloween! Obviously I wore a coat and jumper as well. It looked cool beans, trust me! (Cool beans means ‘cool’ as does cool waffles.) Oh, and I’d dyed my hair a darker shade of brown (with a touch of purpley/red) the night before. Half of what I was wearing was to be part of my Halloween outfit, the gloves and the socks. It was a fun day at school, the last two lessons being canceled due to the Gadesdon performance. It’s a Drama competition at my school in honour of the second ever headmistress at my school. Everyone performs in monologues or groups for the class and the drama teacher pics the finalists. My partner and I didn’t get picked but the drama teacher really liked our piece called Skungpoomery. The finalists are one group from each house in each year (grade). My best mates Emily and Eliza won, they did a really funny extract from Blood Brothers. They were quite shocked with winning as they missed out about half of their piece when showing it. After winning the contest, they performed it again with the all of it.

After school, I boarded 8 girls onto the London bus I take home. This was, of course, after one bus didn’t even stop for us and we had waited for around 40 minutes. Not counting the fact that everyone was holding both their sleepover stuff and their costumes for my party. When we got home at almost 5 everyone changed into their outfits. The rest is a big blur. Half (pft, I mean all except 2) of us had costumes with an emo theme. Connie came a bit later dressed as a ladybird (ladybug, or as I like to call it: God’s Cow) and Eliza was Cheshire Cat. I was a ‘goth retro fairy’. We watched Hocus Pocus, played games, did dares (like freezing Orla’s bra), told truths: we did all the sleepover works. We all went to bed around 4am. It was a great party and I got good presents. Kimmy gave me a hedgehog mug, awww!

The next day, all with soda hangovers, my mates left one by one. The latest departure was around 1pm. Then parents gave me their presents to me! I got an ipod from both my parents and the Kravchenko’s. I don’t mean 2 ipods, I mean they combined their budgets. The ipod is the new chrome nano and it’s indigo and says Bex T-Rex on the back. I’ve already downloaded around 110 songs onto it! My next gift was from my grandparents and it’s soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool! I get to record 3 songs in a studio on Tuesday, eeeek! And I’m allowed to bring some friends along! I’ve picked: Zombie by The Cranberries and Everything by Michael Bublé. But I’m stuck for a 3rd song between 4 different ones! The booklet with song choices didn’t have most of my favourite artists but guys sing those songs so it’s okay.

Today we went to Rochester which I won’t go into. That’s what my dad’s blog is for, not mine. What was good there was a few shops. In one, I bought a hedgehogs for 2.95 pounds. Quite cheap really considering it was made of twigs and pine cone. He couldn’t be called Rocky because that would be like Roxy from Roqubrune. My dad suggested Chessie and showed me that he has good ideas sometimes. The hedgehog became a girl called Chessie. The second shop I found was just, ah, no words to describe it! I felt home. It was all punk, retro and goth type things. If you scroll up and see my Halloween outfit, you’ll see that this is so me! I bought the coolest skirt ever there, also some socks and cool waffles earrings. I’ll post a pic of me wearing all of those things here. It’s not too good and you can’t see the earrings so I’ll make a different one later. ANYWAY! I was 2 pence short when ringing the stuff up so my mum helped me out. If I had more money on me, I would have bought the whole shop. It’s not too far away, only 30 minutes, and I’m definitely coming back. With a lot of friends in tow as well! We’ll will just spend the day there!

Tomorrow, I’m going to get my hair cut (back to my bob) and then go to different doctors for check-ups and stuff. I haven’t done those things in a while so might as well tomorrow. I’ll post again after the recording!

Facebook mates (and other miscellany)

I really could not think of a title for this one so I just picked one of the topics to be the title. This post is not all about my facebook mates.

Let’s begin with the Blackheath High school open day, shall we? My school thought up this brilliant idea, you see. They want the school to be seen by possible applicants for next year. But this apparently can’t be done during school hours. It has to be done on a SATURDAY when we could all be sleeping. And of course, out of the kindness of their hearts, the school let us out at 1.30 on Friday. I will admit that I definitely had fun on Friday afternoon and did manage to get invited to an impromptu sleepover. But I worked something out about this ‘Open Day’ scheme. Oh, they’ll let us out of school 2 hours early. But we come in for 4! It’s injustice and most people don’t even realise!

Now that I’ve got mad ranting out of my system I can say that as open days go, my class’s wasn’t too bad. We were given 2 lessons to do on Saturday. First was Drama which we all love. YAY! We did a bit of physical theather using books to a song called Adiemus. The song is very cool sounding and I have now downloaded it onto my phone. Afterwards we had geography in which we were meant to be making paper volcanoes, looking at maps, and doing a geography puzzle. Well, that just wasn’t acceptable so instead we drew pictures and did geography quiz things online. This was a very good outcome of lessons because last year we had Science and R.E. I actually never stayed in any lesson for too long as I had 3 chamber choir performances. Those were okay as we sang a really pretty Latin song. Also a weird German one but it was a good laugh so I didn’t mind. I was mentioned at each performance because we’re doing a Russian song soon!

Next topic: I keep discovering new bands that I adore. Discovered band of the week:All Time Low.

Next Topic: facebook mates! I was bored one day and started seeing if there were any people I knew from Old Bridge that were on facebook. I found about 7 and after being quite ecstatic at this prospect, and idea came to mind. So I got out my Schirra School Graduating Year of 2006 T-shirt. On the back, it has all the names of people who were in my grade in America. I found about 10 more people and they were all very happy to hear from me. I’m so loved! Thank you facebook!

Next topic: We have been making our own versions of Alice in Wonderland for English class. We were meant to write a chapter of our own story. She didn’t specify which chapter so I randomly picked 5. My story is called ‘Rebecca in Wonderland’. This may shock you because I let almost no one call me ‘that name’ anymore. I believe I’m not mature enough for such a formal name. ANYWAY! I wasn’t actually called Becky until 4th grade when I was 9. Alice is meant to be around 5 or 6 and I was still called Rebecca back then. So, in my story, I must be called ‘that name’ instead of my beloved ‘Bex’. The trick to making this chapter was adding puns and a shape poem. I managed both and I even ended up with 3 puns instead of just one. The first one took me ages to think up. The other two: I didn’t even notice I had extra puns until I read my chapter through again. I’m gonna put the chapter on this blog, read it if you can… or have the time to!

Next topic: My b-day is soon! I am turning 14 on Saturday and am holding a Halloween costume sleepover thing on Friday, the last day before half-term. I am very excited because I am getting an ipod an other good present things! What? As a birthday present to me, you’ll tell your friends to read my blog? And leave more comments? Oh, you guys are too kind!

My dad: the Hitch-hiker (plus other stuff)

Whatever| 1 Comment »

On the way home from trampolining at my school we had to stop at the annoying intersection next to my road. And who do we see waiting for the green light at the pedestrian crossing? My father dearest! So I rolled down my windows and started madly waving to him and my mother and sister quickly followed suit. That man must be blind and deaf ‘cuz he didn’t respond for a good 10 seconds. Then he noticed us. He looked overjoyed to see us. Sadly, this was probably not from the fact that he had missed us dearly all day. Oh, no. He was happy to be able to run across the road to get into the car instead of having to walk. So you see, my dad’s a hitch-hiker. I think that moment when he sat down into the car was the first time I’ve ever seen my mum behind the wheel when my dad is also in the car. Fun experience except I couldn’t see anything over his head which annoyed me slightly. He is too tall to sit in front of me.

On Thursday we had Jeans for Genes day. We had to come into school wearing a pink top and jeans. The whole charity thing is for breast cancer. The fee was 1 pound which would go to the charity. And if you didn’t wear pink or denim, the fee was 2 pounds. Many people had asked me for pink tops because not many people own them. I brought in 5 and then everyone decided they’d just pay 2 pounds instead. Thanks for making me carry all that stuff, guys! On the plus side, I got to make changes throughout the day which was fun. Also necessary. The first top, the one I came in wearing, was being worn with a belt. The belt was suffocating me. And falling down a lot. My stomach still hurt even after I’d taken the thing off. Be careful with belts!

Today I went to Rye for a school trip. This means wearing my own clothes for two days in a row. I was well chuffed (slang for happy that my mate Emily uses which has rubbed off on me). I wore my fluffy boots and ice-lantics jacket. And other things obviously but not worth mentioning. Rye is cold and small. But it has a good High Street. It’s a good place to spend an hour or two on if your driving through England by car. It has really good gift shops, a Boots (english pharmacy), a Woolworths, fish and chip shops, cafes, and very cheap sweet shops. I bought (well Emily bought it for me since I forgot money) a 3 foot long strawberry cord for 40p. I’m not exaggerating. It’s really that long. YUM! The fun part of the trip was really the bus ride. Everyone listened to music and sang out loud and made many videos on my phone. Plus made up very odd stories.

Okay then, bye!

Bands I Like *sqeals loudly*

Whatever| 1 Comment »

(Before I start my post, I would like to say that I’m very upset that no one commented on ‘Why Cows Say Moo’. I’d really like some feedback!)

So. That is my topic for the post since not much has happened lately. *sighs*. My mate Livi came over today but, really, it’s been a dull weekend. Plus, Livi may now kill me for reasons that can’t be mentioned. The only thing that will cheer me up is talking ’bout my bands!

First I shall talk about the German band ‘Tokio Hotel’. This may take a while. I only found out about them 2 weeks ago and I’m in love. I first, properly, discovered my now second favourite band by accident. I was downloading music for my phone and wanted to see what the top downloads were that day. I say the song ‘Ready, set, go!’ and liked the sound of it so I looked it up on youtube. It was love at first sight. And sound as well. The music itself is kind of rock and a bit of emo and strangely, I really liked it. Then I saw the lead singer, PHWOOOAR! He has got long black hair and is emo-looking. But I love emos so tis all well. *starts to daydream*. Where was I? Oh, yea! Bill Kaulitz, the lead singer is VERY nice-looking. That factor always makes a band gain likeness for me, can’t be helped! If the music’s good and the lead looks nice, I’m hooked.

Only yesterday, I actually found out they were German. They actually record songs in both English and German which is very thoughtful of them ‘cuz German doesn’t sound to nice. I know, I’ve heard. Later that night, I remembered something from my Italian holiday this summer. I recalled seeing (and hearing) a video in German with a really cute lead. I didn’t remember exactly what he looked like. And the song had been German so I hadn’t bothered to write it down. So what came into my head was ‘OH MY GOD! What if it was Tokio Hotel!’. That thought kept me awake for a while but I drifted of soon. Then, I checked Tokio Hotel’s songs (that were actually in German) and found the one that I’d seen in Italy! I love coincidences like that! It’s so cool! Well, to me at least. I just really like the fact that if I hadn’t looked at most downloaded songs, I wouldn’t have found out! And I really did want to find out. YAY!

I shall now talk about the band Metro Station. They are my absolute faves! Once again, I only found out about them a few weeks ago. Through a different way, though. My mate Emily, always gets me to download songs for her ‘cuz she’s lazy. She asked me to download a song called ‘Shake it’. I did, but first I watched the video to see if I’d like it. I LIKE IT! The beat is so catchy and so is the music. Plus, once again. I find one of the lead singers very attractive. Yea, okay. So sue me! They don’t have many songs because they’re really new but most of my close mates adore them. They are so different from Tokio Hotel it’s like pickles to ice-cream. My music tastes are odd.

Anyway, I’ll talk about the lead singer I like. His name is Trace Cyrus which means he’s related to Miley Cyrus. Thankfully, he’s only half-brother to her so if (WHEN) Trace and I get married, we won’t see her much. The oddball thing is that the other lead singer is the brother of another Hannah Montana star-Mitchell Musso. The singer’s called Mason Musso and looks tons like his brother. It’s weird how the band has two people in in who’s siblings already work together. Back to Trace, not usually my type but wow! I like him, go figure. He’s not emo but has the cool fringe thing down. Plus some tattoos and piercings but they really suit him. I usually hate piercings and tattoos, by the way. This shows the impact he’s had on me. He and Bill from Tokio Hotel are tied at the moment for most fave singer. Bill’s kinda winning but Trace is neck and neck with him.

Hope you liked my weird post and try listening to the songs I’ve mentioned! Mwah!

Why Cows say Moo

Whatever| 2 Comments »

Last year (when I was in Year 8), my mate Ella and I created a story about, well, why cows say moo. I personally think it’s marvelous and so did the whole school when a teacher rad it out for us. Enjoy!

Why Cows say Moo!

Once upon a time, the moon was were many people lived. They lived with creatures called…..COWS. “Cows” were super strong beings who could talk in many languages, both person and animal. “Cows” gave milk to the people of Moon, the healthiest and tastiest milk you could think of. Everyone was very happy living on Moon which, at the time, was full of plant life and had no “craters”. One day, a scientist on Moon discovered that if you let milk go bad, it could eventually become delicious “cheese”. He experimented with the “cheese” and unknowingly put a substance into the “cheese” that could easily explode if it hit something. The scientist went for lunch leaving the “cheese” unguarded. Another scientist came into the testing lab and accidentally knocked the “cheese” over.

KABOOM!!!!!!!!!!!

The “cheese” exploded and everyone on Moon was blasted into space. Only the “cows” survived, falling onto Earth. They were alive, but the blasting “cheese” had weakened them terribly. They were no longer super strong and they could barely talk. It was a horrible day for the “cows”. Moon was horribly damaged. The explosion had blown big chunks out of it. It now had huge holes called “craters” in it and had a yellowish tinge instead of its normal snow white…

Now, the descendents of the original “cows” are still trying to tell people their story. They try to say “MOON! MOON!”, but they are just too weak. All they can say is “MOOOOOOOOOO!”

THE END

I hope you liked it! Please leave comments!

School’s back. Yay. (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!)

Whatever| No Comments »

School started last Thursday for me. The first day was a lot of hugging and ‘what did you do this summer?’s being tossed around. I have already been invited to a party and a movie viewing. My new form tutor (homeroom teacher) is Mr. Mathasing. Surprise, surprise, he teaches Math. He probably only took it up ‘cuz of his name. Anyway! You can get either a top or bottom locker. After, two years of being blissfully at the top, my luck finally changed. I have a bottom locker which is far more annoying. I have to sit down to get my books out and there’s no point in decorating since no one, not even the new Year 7’s are short enough to see. Speaking of, I have already befriended a few of these littlies and reacquaintedmyself with ones I new such as my mate Ella’s sister. I know we must have been shorter in Year 7 but some girls are really an exception. They are titchy!

Most of my teachers this year are the same. I have a new maths teacher because the top group (which I am somehow in) is taught by the new head of maths, Mr. Walters, this year. I have a different history teacher but I had her in Year 7. I now have two science teachers. I am taught Chemistry (blech) by Dr. Mustafa. I call him Mr. Moofasa like Simba’sdad in the Lion King. He’s okay but new so he’s trying to act all don’t mess with me. We shall make him a softie soon. I’m taught Physics (interesting) and Biology (easy and fun and interesting) by my favourite teacher, Mr. Denton. I believe I’ve mentioned him before. He’s the one who looks like Van Gogh. The Year 7’s all hate him but will learn to love him like we Year 9’s do. Year 9 would be 8th grade in America for anyone who wants to know some common knowledge.

Here is something fun (ha!) I found out, on Friday I believe. Apparently, some scientists in either Switzerland or Sweden decided it would be fun to try to recreate the Big Bang today, the 10th. Also, apparently, if it went wrong, a black hole would appear and we’d all die. (Our class had our Headmistress for a class yesterday and asked if we could have today off to enjoy our last day of life. She said no.) We asked Mr. Denton about all this jazz and after we decided we would not die, he said that the results of this experiment would only be revealed in 4 flipping years. Well, he didn’t say flipping, I added that. So, scientists are weird people in conclusion. First, they don’t care if they accidentally destroy the world, then they can’t even tell us the results (after all that worrying) about what happened at the Big Bang. I blame the media.

Here is something completely non-related to school. My mates Livi and Ella have got me hooked on a Tv show called The Mighty Boosh. It’s, like in a parallel universe and is just plain hilarious. The second and third series are more funny than the first one. Anyway, it’s starring Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding. All my mates and I are madly in love with Noel Fielding. He’s got the BEST hair in the world and a cool accent. *swoons a bit*. Too bad he’s like 35. He looks 10 years younger, honestly. It is a funny show and I watch it on youtube. The live show is coming to the millenium dome in January. Problem is, I don’t know if I’ll have moved by then! Ahhh! I must see Noel!

To end my post, I shall tell you that I forgot to turn on my alarm last night and overslept. I had not set my alarm. I never set recurrent alarm because I thought I’d just have to turn it off on weekends which would be a pain. My mum found me still in my bed at 8.00am and had to drive me to school at top speed. Well, actually, at speed limit speed with traffic and traffic lights. I got in at 8.27. Which is still counted as late. Anytime after 8.25 is. Picky school people! I didn’t miss any lessons or even registration which is good. In the car, while my mum was driving me, I realised that you could set recurrent alarm on certain days. I did not know this before as I had never checked. Aren’t I clever!
